The Cooling Bunker is a high-efficiency cooling unit that allows the hot product from the oil press to be cooled in a controlled manner before being transferred to the mill or packing line.
The Cooling Bunker is a high efficiency cooling unit designed to cool hot product discharged from the fat press before it is transferred to the mill or packaging line in a controlled manner.
The main purpose of the system is to reduce the product temperature to approximately 25 °C (depending on ambient conditions), preventing moisture regain and evaporation, thereby improving final product quality and shelf life.
After pressing, meal or solid fat mixtures that still retain high temperatures are cooled inside the cooling bunker using the counter-airflow principle. During this process, the product is evenly distributed within the bunker, and homogeneous temperature reduction is achieved through airflow passing through the material.
The unit complies with food processing standards thanks to its fully enclosed design, robust construction, and hygienic material selection.
In addition, the system is equipped with a cyclone unit for separating airflow from the product and a fan system for ambient air circulation.
